I liked Oblivion too.

8/10 Cruisekino, 6/10 movie. He elevates everything he's in.
>>67298994
>cruisekino
i like this new term. i'm gonna use it. thank you, anon.
It's a bad movie, don't get me wrong, but Scott Eastwood's performance is GOAT. Very underrated actor.
Don't even ask me to explain.
>>67299546
Please explain
>>67298622
>>67299662
I refuse to believe in you liked this.
>>67298622
It would have been 5/10 without BASED CRUISE. Solid 7/10 flick imo, takes a little bit to get going, but the visuals are actually fantastic.
>>67299697
That's why I posted it in the 'movies only you like' thread
literally every person I've recommended this to has turned it off after 5 minutes because they can't get past the fact that it is in black & white.
>>67299684
how can you like this piece of shit?
>>67299839
Pi is GOAT, I remember one of my high school teachers showing us it in class.
>>67299662

>>67298622
solid 6.5/10
great visual effects and based cruise
James Gunns' best film, Slither a close second

my all-time favorite
nobody else I know likes it because "it's too slow and boring."
makes me want to pull my hair out.
>>67299662
I like it for the kissing scene
>>67300119

>>67300100
It is a slow movie though, actually one of the few movies I only watched half way

Batman v Superman
>>67299684
Same, not even close to the worst bond movie
Best Dragon Ball Z movie ever made. I also love how the same plebs who shat on Superman Returns for being too "boring" are the same ones who hate Man of Kino.
The Bronze
everyone I know:
>hurr the people running the show would be smarter and more competent
>>67300500
I got you dam your not alone.
I actually dig both endings.
I must've seen this movie 15 times
>>67299374
>Scott Eastwood's performance is GOAT
seriously? good to hear. i want to see more of him
>>67299684
I like how smooth it is, even if it's too long and Waltz is completely wasted.
>>67300671
Every jackie chan movie is great, even the terrible ones
No even ashamed. I absolutely love it
>>67300730
Smooth is the best word to describe it. I think the pacing is great.
>>67300779
That whorehouse scene caused me to stick to old guy porn for a while
>>67299891
love this movie. slither too
>>67299662
Holy shit I just realized that dude is the one from the Mazerunner movie.
>>67300097
I liked it
>>67300967
I loved the hell out of this. I think it was Ebert's favorite that year too.
>>67298622
I liked Oblivion. Sans the Tom Cruise army.

>>67301327
Beautiful film.
>>67300100
2001 is generally recognized as a classic and one of the best movies ever made. Not really the type of film you'd bring up in this conversation.
Did this make mainstream in the States?? Great film!!
>>67300097
IT'S HUGE KINO MATREIAL
>>67298791
I liked this movie but despised the ending. The ai was correct and I was hoping it would win.
>>67300500
This. Although that time travel scene in the prison makes absolutely no sense.
>>67301806
Fucking love it.
>>67301806
He was such an asshole in this movie, it was great
This and the 2013 Great Gatsby. Both are far from perfect, but have their merits.
>>67299684
Agreed. Solid 7/10. Far from perfect, but nowhere near as bad as some claim. No idea how people claim it's one of the worst Bonds.

I want to chew the veins out of the wrists of people who call Spectre shit but give fucking Quantum a free pass.
>>67298622
No one on /tv/ has seen this besides me
>>67301163
Not bad for Ebert's last full year on Earth senpai.
I loved it, thought it was better than Snatch, Lock Stock, et. al
>>67300316
JUST KILL ME ALREADY
For some reason I find this movie comfy as fuck.
>>67300500
I wasn't expecting it to be so dark; I thought it was just a run-of-the-mill time travel movie, so I watched it with my mom.
>>67299662
I thought this movie was fuckin hilarious, and its the one movie that uses ed helms as he should be used, a total fucking douchebag that everyone should hate
>>67298622
>>67303854
Pretty much everyone who's not a /tv/ imbecile liked this.
>>67303675
I went and saw this in theater and even teared up a bit at the "I'll find you if it takes me a thousand lives" part. Some of it was a bit cheesy but it was a good fairy tale type story I thought.
>>67300967
Fucking this
I've known people who had epiphanies from watching this
>>67305375
No. Just.
No.
>>67300967
I loved it. Very ambitious and well done. It's also a good pleb filter.
>>67301806
Everyone who's not a bottom CAPITE CENSII fuck loved this film tho
Shocked when I found out every single person on /tv/ hated this film.
I've never actually seen any talk about this on /tv/ so I don't know if anyone else likes it. I just watched it though and thought it was great.
>>67299546
THIS IS MY FAVORITE FILM
I OWN THE NOVELIZATION AND EVERYTHING
MARRY ME
>>67305442
I'll be honest, I fucking love the film but the weird cut when suddenly the dude was dead just felt really out of place and jarring in contrast to the rest of the film and ruined it a bit for me, but aside from that I loved the dialogue and atmosphere of the film
>>67299546
>>67305722
which one of you made those webms?
>>67300967
this movie is excellent
I know for a fact that I'm the only one here that actually likes this
>>67306965
I actually preferred the Movie in some parts, compared to the Book. Pure entertainment that doesn't take itself too seriously.
>>67305375
I liked it too.
fuck you I like Carrie 2
>>67303690
don't stress man, they were both shit.
>>67303690
I thought the consensus was
1.Casino Royale
2.Skyfall
3.Spectre
4.Quantum Of Solace
>>67300177
Barely remember the movie or the handjob?

Reeeeeeeeeeeee!
Then again it was probably only me who went to see it, period.
>>67307070
Generally yes but /tv/ is full of retarded hipsters and a number of them like to pretend that QoS was a good movie.
>>67307081
It was actually one of the movies I most looked forward to last year. And I enjoyed it, but it sucks that it bombed so hard.
I'm not even joking

>>67305375
Rachel's ass and her talking about big cocks made this better than the first season desu
One of my absolute favorites. People usually either hate it or hate that it exists and won't watch it. I think it's perfect.
>>67303854
How can someone not enjoy this? And no, boring is not an argument, it's not trying to be James Bond, and that was a good thing.
>>67299684
on the topic of bond films everyone hates but I enjoyed
An hour+ car chase with light existential overtones. I haven't yet met a fan in person.
>>67299891
/tv/ prefers the shitty unofficial remake (God Bless Amerca)
Here, Then
I normally don't like arthouse but this was something else

>>67307167
hey that is actually one of my favorite bond movie
>I also think Brosnan was the best bond
>>67307247
WOAH THERE BUDDY
I enjoy a good Brosnan flick as much as the next guy but he's far from the best bond. Connery will always have that title.
Liked it moar than the first
>>67305841
It was supposed to be jarring.
I respected the decision but don't think any movie could get away with this ever again.
>>67299662
I dont actually like this movie but I beat off to Jennifer Aniston stripping towards the end. She should of gone nude.
>>67307151
I love this movie. A great regret of mine is that I never saw it in a theater. First time I saw it was a very shitty stream that may have filmed with a camera. Even in that blurry box it was exciting as shit. That final race in full theater might've killed me.
I've seen it since, still excellent, but I missed out the first time.
it was a massive box office flop and 90% of everyone hated it, even though i thought it was a fucking masterpiece. It's ost was also a masterpiece
>>67307179
i liked that movie, haven't met anyone who has had any strong feelings for it one way or the other

Yeah.... Fucked up people imirite?
>>67307247
Dunno about best Bond but he's probably #2 although some of his acting like the contrast between his "007" fake smile and his real smile would be too subtle for most plebs

I love this movie
I fucking love this movie.
>>67299662
I find it funny how the poster has to spell out exactly what the characters are like in the most succinct manner possible. It's really indicative of the audience.
>>67308209
Being a virgin is just as bad as being a drug dealer or stripper.I guess this makes me a pretty hardcore dude

It was great, loved it

Probably in my top 5
>>67300601
Who the fuck doesn't like the Truman Show?
I don't understand the hate it gets.
>>67309046
I liked it. I don't get why a lot of people hate it so much but glorify the originals, they're all the shallowest stories ever told.
>>67309396
They hate it cause it's easier to say "Fuckl the prequels, they suck." Than "Fuck the prequels except the third, and fuck Return of the Jedi too."
>>67309353
For real, this and San Andreas are great fun
>>67309353
Idk if it really gets hate, it's more that by the time it came out disaster movies had become really fucking cliche and it failed to bring anything new to the genre other than slightly better special effects
>>67309353
You can only have so many by the skin of our teeth scenes before it becomes ridiculous.
>>67298735
What about the lakes?
Probably more popular now because of the TV show, but I shilled this shit for years. It's so good.
>>67309667
The last ten minutes after he kills the Russians is really fucking awkward tho, it's not even a long movie, they didn't need to rush everything at the end
>>67300316
I'd let her physically assault me if you catch my drift
>>67299839
Pi is forgettable, cheap budget shit.
Guys, you are throwing softballs here
Movie 43 is one of my most favorite comedies of all time, had a laugh almost at every scene.
>>67299891
I do really like this. It's almost to close to "SO BAD IT'S GOOD LMAO", purposefully tonally inconsistent and uncomfortable, but that all really serves the purpose of the film. I understand why it's not very popular, but I love it
>"If you touch my car one more time I'll kill you"
>gently touches car
>"Okay that's not the kind of touching I was talking about"
>>67311509
>horus rising
isn't that a book? besides the best 40k book is easily 15 hours
>>67299891
loved the plot progression, hated the ending
>>67300967
Great movie, plus the korean chick is qt as hell. Basically the only reason I sat through Sense8.
>>67303675
I thought this one was aight, really dug the aesthetic, but since everyone else thought it was shite I guess I'll stand with you on this one.
>>67303796
>better than Snatch
haha no, it was pretty good tho
>>67305318
Thanks Anon. I was an extra in this movie and nobody knows what it is when I bring it up
>>67309396
>>67309456
3 and 6 are mostly equal in my book, 6 only gets a slight edge because of the scene in the emperor's throne room, but my favorite part of both are the sheev bits. Neither are particularly strong films but they're fine, and 3 is leagues beyond 1 or 2
>>67298920
hahahaha wtf>>67298803 talking about
>>67307081
this is actually the first news i've heard that it bombed. (obvi i don't generally pay attention to how well movies do in theaters) kinda surprising, i thought it was alright.
>>67298803
It works other way around, dweeb.
>>67312334
I liked this movie when I was 12
wonder how well it's aged
>>67299546
This is a fucking gem of a movie. You're not alone.
>>67298622
It was really generic and cliche for a sci-fi movie, but Tom Cruise's acting just made it passable. It wouldn't have been as entertaining with some other actor.
>>67309353
This
>>67309519
San Andreas did it better but I think I mainly enjoyed it because of The Rock.
>>67301806
This essay is pretty heavy
http://scholarworks.arcadia.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1022&context=undergrad_works
I honestly don't get the hate. It was a fun romp and didn't pretend to be anything else.
>>67303596
>The Matrix sequels
Yeah, but the Animatrix was actually good. The Wachowskis Bros did a good job of just allowing to film one live action movie.
Everyone ignored it because it came out the same time as Expendables, but it was way better imo. It was way more fun and the plot was much more interesting, Expendables was mostly just them screwing around that crappy island.
>>67305442
I loved the acting, the dialogue, the characters, almost everything about it except the film's main message. It was just so depressing, nihilistic, and wrong to me. What am I suppose to learn from watching it all?
>>67307081
That poster makes me nervous
>>67312913
>Watching films for the message
Is this the most pleb thing a person can do?

I thought this was a solid 9/10.
>>67300967
Great movie with a godlike soundtrack

I didn't mean it literally, m8, I was talking about what a pretentious, unoriginal piece of shit GBA is.
>>67300967
I was so pissed when Jupiter Ascending was not a 4 hour space opera
>>67305344
Right here mang
>>67305167
I swear this movie was too close to real life so it got media black listed. Great subtle performances.
>>67301806
i enjoyed it
>>67308916
damn, i remember watching this with my mate and my brother...
good times
Apparently the HHGTTG movie is completely hated for some reason but I thought it was great and frankly more watchable than the old miniseries.
>>67299839
I watched the whole movie and it never seemed to go anywhere. Granted my memory is shit and it was a long time ago so I can't really explain my reasoning but that was the impression I got. Definitely felt really let down.
>>67300100
Talk about being a donkey's head instead of a lion's tale...
Mainly just because nobody's seen it. IDK if it's even on torrent sites, I was lucky enough to live in Canada and snag a DVD when it was new.
>flicking through channels, unknown film is starting
>intend to change the channel but something interesting happens
>watch the whole thing and it's fucking great
I love when this happens. Pic is one of those films.
>>67298622
late to the party but me and my friends fucking liked Oblivion
>>67307232
So this is yours?
What is it suppose to mean? Behind the nice facade there hides a horrible adolescent monster with no morals?
>>67315695
set design was really cool, acting was fine enough for a YA thing
>>67309502
Actually the special efects were kinda shit in a lot of the scenes. There were just so many of them.
For example, the destruction scenes in War of the Worlds were much better done despite being less flashy.
I dont know if its because spielberg managed to create better tension or the casting was better but there is much less tension in 2012 and the shitty looking visuals dont help.
>>67305010
I'm with you on this
>>67298622
im a big david ayer fan though.
by far the best thing arnie has done since his comeback. have not finished maggie yet though

it literally does not make sense that he would forget to pay back the loan shark
I can't think of anything negative to say about this, yet every review of it I've seen has been negative.
I'm glad I watched it before I read anything about it.
Still one of the most realistic scenarios of what would really happen if we were invaded by aliens.
>>67307684
Hips.
>>67301806
Wow dude this film was amazing. How can you NOT like this? James McAvoy is a really good actor, have you seen Trance?
>>67299374
his acting was atrocious, are you serious?
Why does everyone hate this film?
It's certainly not a "serious" movie - but was "The Hobbit" really a "serious" book? If anything, this animated movie captures the tone, atmosphere, and aesthetic of the book in a far better way than Jackson's stretched out nonsense.
>>67304659
Me too, it's prime comfy material
>>67298622
>you sold the air rights to a cemetery?
I thought it was hilarious.
>>67316557
I remember reading the hobbit in school and most of us didn't like the movie, but growing up I see it in a more positive light, battle of the five armies probably helped
>>67303796
Fucking hated this movie. The true low point of Ritchie's career.
>>67316300
The only thing for me that jarred.
Although without that, there is literally no plot... man becomes really smart and does cool stuff.
