From all the comments I've been reading, i think most of you schmucks missed the over-arching story for season 2.
The first four episodes set up the question of whether or not it's ok for a vigilante (who is already acting immorally by being a vigilante) can take the lives of the criminals hose plans he thwarts. They then split it off so they can establish the Punisher for future netflix shows and push on with the Daredevil story and introduce Elektra and The Hand (the most note-worthy characters the character's history).
It was a mess and all, but it made sense and built as well as it could have considering the they needed to set so much in motion to build towards their Defenders thing.
The real gripe should be that Karen's past as a porn star/heroine addict has been retconned as some sort of mysterious past-family tragedy.
Yeah, everything about the Hand and the fucking ninjas with bows is way out of tune and touch for the series and gives them a chance to give Elektra a retarded comicbook backstory. It's obviously just a piece of setup for when they drop the Soul Gem in Defenders imo.

This season drops in quality hard after episode 4. It's very similar, but the outcome is very different. In the show, Matt shot the chain and escapes, and then tries to stop Punisher from killing the guy but is too late.
In the comic, Daredevil begs Frank not to kill the guy and when he realizes he's not going to get through to him and that the Punisher is going to keep on killing, Daredevil breaks and actually does make the decision to kill Frank in order to save the other guy. But Frank lied, and the gun wasn't loaded at all. The last episode felt incredibly rushed.
They went from gladiator making elektra's suit, the hands big battle, elektras death, matt willingness to kill nobu, punishers final reveal a hostage situation and a prologue all in one episode.

The police should have shown to be more active than, "let's put some spotlights on the roof" spotlight we never see actually.
The part 1 finale episode should have ended with elektra death.
The punisher shouldn't of been a sniper only in his last apperence.

We'll probably get a Punisher series, but not for another couple years. They've already got like JJ S2 and LC S1 planned along with Iron Fist.
I really enjoyed Season 2, but the fight scenes were excessive to the point where impressive fight scenes where just kind of boring because it happened every episode. The Punisher prison fight and the Hells Dogs or whatever fight was great, but the rest, while still nice, was kind of boring.
