Sup /TV/, recently started watching the original Dragon Ball series, was curious as to where I should go next. I've heard Kai is good and Z is good. Anything else?

I honestly don't know if you should watch Kai or Z if you haven't watched them before. Kai feels stripped and artificial and lacks a magic Z had. But this is coming from a guy who's been watching since I was 4. I actually remember bringing a DBZ vhs to preschool for show and tell.

Is it that bad? Z drove me insane because most episodes were filler, mostly characters waiting for Goku to do something while yelling at each other like 20 minutes to namec taking three whole episodes while gohan flies around and gets yelled at or fresia yelling at goku and his spirit bomb for five episodes. I'd hope kai would just minimize the filler

dragon ball is the only series worth watching. not only did the animation quality go down hill with dbz, but it has tons of filler, power levels ruined everything and the entire show just became goku fan service
