ITT: boring movies that you only pretend to like so other redditors think you're patrician
>>67263660
one of the best movies ever made and only boring if you're a single digit IQ fuck-tard
fuck you nigger
TWB is kinema
>>67263716
PTA is so fucking overrated. Boogie nights is the only decent thing he ever did. The only redeeming aspect of TWBB is the cinematography, which PTA had almost nothing to do with.
>>67263660
I like it because of Daniel Day Lewis's acting performance.
>>67265169
He was the only director who could make an adam sandler movie tolerable. PtA is very solidly rated imo
Up and Wall-E
>>67265272
Adam Sandler was in PDL, but PDL is NOT an adam sandler movie.
This film was so boring and complicated. I had no idea what was going on but I told all my friends that I think its fantastic.
>>67263716
case in point
>>67263660
Fuck off, you can critique the movie, but saying it's boring just makes you a pleb
>>67265306
>"In interviews from the time, Anderson insists repeatedly that his only intentions were to make an Adam Sandler comedy."
PTA was basically trying to make a Sandler movie at the time. The only reason that it didn't work out is because a shitty Adam Sandler made by PTA is still a great movie.

Sorry it bored you but it was a great movie. Feel free to call me Reddit a couple times to ease your asspain.
>>67263660
actually a fun ride, like watching once biannually
>>67263683

>>67265221
fun to watch once, not something i care about revisiting, not bad but not something that spoke to me
>>67265366
not bad but holy shit do I not care about it. The Spy Who Came In From The Cold and The Constant Gardener are still the KINO-tier JlCs
>>67265435
fuck you and the horse you rode in on
>>67265366
I turned this shit off about half an hour in.
>>67265366
>complicated

It's a pretty straightforward story mate.
A good one at that.
>>67263716
It's pretentious shit for pretentious shitheads. It has nothing to do with IQ. It has to do with taste. And your taste is in your ass.
>>67263716

The title isn't "there is blood" but "there will be blood"
Are you stupid?
>>67263660
Did anyone else fail to realise mr. classic was playing twins until their second viewing of the movie?
>>67263660
It's funny, this is the ultimate pleb filter
You either
Hate it because you're a fucking retard
Make up your own themes because, again, you're a retard
Or understand the film and see it as what it really is
None. I own my opinions.
>>67263660
I liked there will be blood but I can understand the people who hate it. A pleb would get nothing out of the experience but so would someone looking for a relatable story. Acting, setting, and cinematography were all 10/10 so if that's what you want out of a movie then you're in luck, but it's hard to relate to the plight of the protagonist when he's a fucking sociopath. (People may have a similar problem with American psycho, but that at least has social commentary and tries harder to entertain the viewer).
DDL's character was just a huge cunt and killed people. And why did Paul dano's character become such a piece of shit? Is it because DDL broke him? Seemed like a good guy for most of the movie.
Was the movie making any statement or was it just showing you a series of events? Did I just not get it?
>>67271557
he did it to have a family image to buy peoples land with.
