I've been working out for 4 years now and I've lost a fuckton of weight and gained strength, but I'm still bearmode. 5'11 and 220 pounds but it's muscle.
Don't go overboard when you begin. Find a good routine and do it. REST. I cannot stress this enough. Don't workout everyday because you'll have no time to rest and recover. Mix it up between cardio/endurance days and strength days. Don't fall into a pattern. Change it every couple of weeks.

If a super buff guy had the same inner strength of will as Steve it would have had similar effects but he wouldn't have been stronger or better than Steve ended up being. Steve was chosen because as he was he was unfit for service and they weren't sure what would happen, this was the first time they had tested it on a human. It's a varying level, more then it is black and white. But lifting weights is literally counting numbers.
Alpha brain waves is considered more intellgent, and lifting weights lowers brain waves, to a more relaxed state, even with the higher body stress going on.
