ITT: Daredevil Season 2 discussion.
I'm 3/4 of the way through episode 5 and I had to pause for a moment.The ridiculous fucking amount of "romance" that they're trying to add in this show just makes me cringe every time I see it. I can't stand watching Murdock suck Karen's face, and everything with Elektra is just awkward as fuck to watch.
Maybe it's just too relatable.

The romance aspect is fine.
Matt started falling for Karen, who appeals to his good side with a sense of justice. Then Elektra comes along and relates to Matt on the whole vigilante/fighter aspect and knows who he is moreso than Karen.
Elektra absolutely is a must in the Daredevil world, so she needed to be added. And seeing as how morality was the huge focus of this season, the love triangle good/bad aspect played in perfectly with it.
Matt having to hold that ridiculous face for Fisk's ranting rage fit

This Matt and Karen thing was just really awkward. I don't understand why the story went there. Felt kind of like some sort of filler.
And weren't Karen and Foggy getting along pretty well in S1? Suddenly in S2 it's like none of that happened and she is all lusting for Matt's dick.

But don't try to tell me that they weren't hinting at a possible outcome of Foggy and Karen in S1. There definitely was a spark. And suddenly is S2 it all changed. It's jarring.

that whole insecurity thing worked for the actress in true blood but in daredevil it just doesn't fit.
The show is complete garbage outside of the Punisher. Hopefully they cancel this shit and make a Punisher show without all the fags (everyone else).

It's pretty on par with season 1 but Fisk was a far greater villain.

And you've got to admit the whole secret war thing is hard to accept. Secret order of immortal ninjas with some kind of ill explained human weapon.
It's pretty easy to imagine that they discovered an ancient alien artifact or something if you've watched Agents of Shield, but Matt doesn't know anything about that.
