I just watched The Hobbit : Battle of the Five Armies extended blu ray and thought it was a 9.5/10 flick up from 6.5/10 original. Those 20 minutes extra added a lot.

Yes, those extra scenes of Alfrid Lickspittle really added to the movie. He was the key to the whole film.
