I just finished season 1 and was anybody pissed off the whole time they were watching it? I felt like Fisk's intentions were pure but Murdock and friends ruined everything and made their problems worse. Fisk had clarity of mind in his goal but Murdock made the city a shittier place in the end because Fisk now hates the city.
Also did anyone get the vibe the Karen was a manipulative cunt? It's like she got everyone to do whatever she wanted when she cried on command. She got Ben killed and gave Fisk a reason to go cuhrazy bad when she killed Wesley even though they went after Fisk through his mother. She knew about the circumstances of Fisk's upbringing and the reason of why he does what he does. Fisk offered unreasonably more money to the tenants of the HIS buildings than what they were entitled to. He was going to rebuild the city into something that wasn't a shithole but it was ruined because Karen was a whiny bitch.

Overall it's on par with Season 1 but the pacing and dialog could be better. Count the number of times they say The Hand, Nobu, Vigilante. Just keep count, they repeat several words throughout the season.

I know they're probably saving the kung fu ninja-ish aesthetics for Iron Fist (or you'd expect but considering this and JJ were filmed the same way like it's a marvel guideline template) but keeping it only in its own style ruins the stuntwork, story and atmosphere
The stairs fight was great and in the spirit of the show without leaving its own aesthetics - but other scenes they needed to shoot it better, cut it better and some needed actual stuntman instead of the actors doing some embarassing low energy non-punches.

Punisher acts way too much like some Deniro wannabe.
Too much nervous energy, terrible accent, the character is written way too chatty and always answering and justifying himself (that roof scene and the diner one urgh). It felt like a broadcast tv badass character.

Like, the story structure is practically the same. The sidekicks are similar, the use of flashbacks is similar. They both got a fucking ninja organization for crying out loud.
DD is better written and acted, naturally, but I can't help but feel I've seen this before (and hell, Arrow s1 and s2 follows similar structure to Batman Begins and the Dark Knight, respectively).
