Started watching Baskets last night. What are your opinions (no spoilers please).
IMO there's too much Louie CK influence on it to the point that I might as well just watch Lucky Louie (I hate that show)

louis ck is heavily involved in the production of the show. some of the surrealism and atmosphere clearly borrow from Louies fx show. they are different though, baskets is absurd while louie generally sticks closer to reality.

every episode revolves around bleak hopelessness and depression, but it's also absurd and all the characters are great comedians and manage to make dark situations silly and funny. it's not as dark a show as the mood suggests.
