>Someones criticism of a movie is that "the time travel isn't realistic enough!"

JUST TURN YOUR BRAIN OFF DUDE

IT'S FOR KIDS MAAAN
I actually read a review of Pacific Rim that couldn't understand why they didn't just nuke the Kaiju and fight them with regular weaponry instead of building giant robots.
>>67103320
so you want them to just go around nuking everything? so whenever a kaiju attacks a city they just nuke it all? that would definitely minimize damage right?
>>67103320
actually didn't they show F-22's trying to shoot them with no effect, and really if you use nukes all over the world you'll just kill the planet anyway
just sayin
>those people who think a plot hole is the worst thing a movie could have
>>67103269
>>67102786
you've missed the point as usual
>the alien's backstory is unrealistic
>>67103493
So don't use F22's, mount the plasma cannons and shit from the Jaegers on sea platforms. The giant robots would be justifiable if the only way to kill them was via hand to hand wrestling matches or using giant swords but they used lots of cannons and missiles. No reason those had to be mounted on a giant robot.

>sea platforms
>against super fast moving intelligent giant monsters

When the story revolves around the effects of time travel (ie: Looper), you need to have solid rules that make sense. There is no excuse for this, if you don't want scrutiny of the time travel, don't make it the central focus of the fucking plot.
>>67103720
This is correct.
"Not realistic" is a strawman. Nobody has ever said this apart from complete faggots (eg OP).
The actual complaint is "not internally consistent"
>>67103779
That's a load of fucking bullshit and you know it.
>>67103652
>can't argue about realism within imagination
you have autism
btw, if you discuss imagination too much, you have autism too
It's all about moderation. Shocking.
