How did he escape?

Is this the greatest plot hole in cinema history?
>>
Supernatural sp00ker hotel.
>>
>>67072228
>hotel is haunted by evil spirits
>they've possessed him in a sense
is it that hard to believe that a spooky ghost opened the door?
>>
The hotel ovelooked the fact that he was trapped.
>>
Danny opened the door.
>>
>>67072228
there are plenty of intentional plot holes in that movie like the helicopter shadow in the beginning
>>
>>67072228
Biggest plot hole in cinema history?
>>
There was a ventilation shaft hidden behind the cardboard boxes
>>
>The plot holes were intentional

Lazy film writing, shit movie, shit director.
>>
>>67072228
It's the greatest plot TWIST in cinema history.
>>
There is some deleted footage in which the black dude, at the beginning, warns Danny that the door cant really be locked. But Kubrick realized that if Danny knew this he wouldnt have let his mother put his father in the room.

>>

>greatest plot hole in cinema history?
No the Hotel is haunted and the ghosts can manipulate the hotel if you watch certain scene characters get from one part of the Hotel to another in ways that shouldn't be possible
>>
>>67072433
It was the hotel that opened the door by itself to help Jack fulfill his plans.
There are no plot holes in The Shining. No question is left unanswered. If one is, you haven't noticed the details that lead you to every solution.
This movie is the most complete motion picture ever made. Everything comes full circle. You can criticize the writing but the movie itself is polished to an infinite level.
>>
Danny did it. That's why he was channelling Jack's murderous spirit. He was basically possessed. Danny's shining is basically the only supernatural event in the movie.

Yeah this stuff always confuses me

>>
It was ghosts
nothing more, nothing less

People just trying to for things that just aren't there.
You got some fucking spook talking telepathically to an 8 year old within the first 15 minutes.

This shit ain't deep people
>>
>>67072356
>like the helicopter shadow in the beginning
C'mon, even Kubrick fanboys can admit when a movie has fucking goofs. The chair behind Jack. The helicopter. How the family has more bags than can fit into their car. These are goofs, pure and simple.

It's hard to tell if Shining fans are autistic or just pretentious

>Telepathy isn't real

>IS this the greatest plothole!?
>>
>>67075935
this

OP and a few posters are grasping pretty hard
It was a haunted mansion on a native burial ground
Spooky shit happens

When the animals come back to life in Pet Cemetery no one asks

>b-but how did the animals actually get out from under 3 feet of soil?!
>what a plot hole!

More proof that this generation wouldn't be able to handle surreal cinema or concepts

What a cunt you are. Your behaviour and attitude are why you never get laid or have friends or fun.

I think their problem is that the shining doesn't really set itself as a paranormal horror movie. And even when spooky shit happens, people are so tied to the visceral drama and tension that they think that it was just some sort of slasher drama.
Kubrick was really subtle about the paranormal, he really understood how to make it unsettling and make you discuss the whys and hows.
>>
>>67072429
Kubrick said in every interview throughout his career that he was an atheist, and during Shinings production, that a ghost explanation for the events was the thing he was LEAST interested in.

Next you'll tell us he spent 7 years making the damn thing only to preach some religious fable as an explanation. Go fucking die, asshole.

Have you guys actually watched the film?

The heli shadow is not present in the actual film.
>>
>>67076831
>implying anyone on /tv/ actually watches films
>>
>>67075151
Why is this a problem there's a helicopter shadow? Are we supposed to believe in flying cameras?
