Is Shameless the only example of an UK show where the US remake is better than the original? Only thing the original did better was having James McAvoy as Steve instead of Dragonball boy in the US version.

I took a quick glance at the trailers for US Shameless, and the americans seemed pretty well off compared to the brits. Are they not poor in the US version, or are they just Hollywood poor?
