I feel like this moment best defines Michael Bay. It's meant to be like the "You who are without mercy now beg for it?" scene from Transformers 1984, but Bay is such an autistic sociopath that he turns it into the hero straight-up executing the villain. The Fallen is basically the Judas of the Transformers. He's where Megatron's moniker comes from (Megatronus Prime) so it's entirely reasonable for Optimus to want to brutalise the first Decepticon after a million-year war that consumed their planet.
Sentinel Prime, however, just wanted Cybertron back and was willing to break bread with the 'Cons until Cybertron was restored. He was morally grey but didn't need beheading
I saw this in a theater that served drinks. I was 8 or 9 beers down by the time this part rolled around and when it happened I had to leave the theater because I was laughing so hard my breaths sounded like the war cry of a bald eagle.
