Clancy Brown and Mark Pellegrino are two pilots who are traveling through a well known spooky hot spot corridor, while doing so they receive a plea for help, except the man claims to be from the past. Laughing it off as a joke from a nearby airbase they give away very important historical details. Suddenly they experience turbulence and end up heading through an ominous looking cloud, arriving on the other end they are shot down mistaken for UFOs or spies by people claiming to be the UNONY(United Nation of New York), in custody they tell their story but are met with disbelief and learn they are actually in an America which has separated into five balkanized states. They are allowed to go free after an agent takes sympathy on them but so long as they do some espionage work on some enemy states who they are locked in a Cold War like battle with. Meanwhile Brown and Pellegrino try to adjust to their bizarre new changes as Brown hunts for himself in Alaskan owned Russia but Pellegrino slowly loses his mind due to the ramifications of history. Brown has promised he will get them both home. But what do a secret military organization in Europe and a militia called the Fighting Diamondbacks have to do with all of this?

Person with progeria knows he's not long for this world and feeling robbed of his life he gains a severe distaste for human life and religion. Jodorowsky's "Metabarons" would be too expensive to film as a live action, but I would love a high budget HBO animated version of it.

Story is too long and episodic for a movie. It would make a decent 12 episode animated series if the budget was there.
What if they had Jodorowsky & Gimenez onboard as exective producers? HBO's SPAWN was extremely faithful to the comic because Mcfarlane was in charge. There was no studio fuckery are work.

The show begins following two detectives who are sent to investigate disappearances in the remote town by their boss, Kaz Crowley. Both detectives have their own personal demons, and the longer they spend in the town the darker and more twisted these inner torments become. Investigations point them towards the name Damon Salt, an enigmatic man said to be a master physicist and a brilliant mind by some and a senseless raving lunatic covered in dirt and rags by others. The nightmares of both dream and reality which plague these two are made worse and more frequent as they uncover signs of cultism, and perhaps magic, before they die to the sound of pipes and drums.
The second season involves another pair of people being sent to Dunwich by Kaz Crowley, this time being journalists. They search for Damon Salt too, and along the way are plagued by their own horrific nightmares. A man named John Sabbath aids them, seducing one of the two in the process before disappearing. They find Salt. They find the detectives. One dies. The other runs, and keeps running.
With the next season comes another pair, or trio, who get caught up in the nightmare.
Think True Detective crossed with Silent Hill. By the end of each season no-one is meant to truly know what is tangible and what is dreamt, or whether there's a difference. Each season provides more pieces for the puzzle, without ever truly revealing the full picture. With each pair or group of people that enter the town it changes vaguely, to reflect their own horrors, with each season being its own story about these characters as well as the town.When the show is confirmed cancelled the last season will air with an extra episode. A completely nice and pure person with no inner torments or horrible fuck-ups ends up in the town. The last scene is her tied to a table, surrounded by hooded beings who are the former protagonists. As the knife is plunged, they chant in unison. He comes.
