Because space is a fucking vacuum. Do people not know this? All moisture in you body would boil, all gas in you body would expand, air bubbles would form in you bloodstream, etc. You'd lose consciousness in ten seconds and then suffocate

It doesn't boil your blood, that's rubbish. It does result in damage to your blood vessels and exposed mucous membranes, and then decompression sickness of the same kind you get if you surface from a deep dive too quickly. Gasses in your blood expand and cause an embolism and heart attack. Unconsciousness happens in less than a minute after exposure to vacuum, followed within another couple minutes by death.
You don't freeze, and you don't boil. You get the bends.

the bends is what you get from drastic pressure changes such as diving where the pressure 100 feet down is like 6 times surface pressure.
in space the vacuum only has the pressure difference of 1. you wont get the bends.

right, I was thinking more of less of the bends as in what you get from diving, not decompression sickness.
realistically tho if you can have a well sealed gas mask that provides you with oxygen, and eye coverings, you can survive in a vacuum long enough to succumb to decompression sickness.
kinda like in Guardians of the Galaxy, that one scene was somewhat realistic.
