Rey theories.
My favourite at the moment:
She was a force-sensitive kid discovered by Luke.
She trained with Ben Solo.
It was discovered that she was born of the Dark Side of the Force after Palpatine tried to create life like Plagueis did with Anakin (making her a Skywalker in a sense).
It's believed by some that this is the Force trying to fill the void left by Vader.
This throws the Jedi Academy into chaos and some of the less enlightened students want to kill Rey.
Ben FLIPS THE FUCK OUT.
He wipes Rey's memory and strands her on Jakku.
He tries to turn to the Dark Side as a form of sacrifice - if there has to be an evil force in the universe, it'll be him.

that's actually not bad.

I've literally never heard anything so retarded.
It's a neat theory, but I don't think she needs to be anything, just a no one who Ben Solo saved from death.
>>66967495
I thought everyone agreed that Force conception was one of the dumbest things to come out of the prequels.
>>66967561
I take it you never watched Star Wars.
>>66967495
I like the theory where she's a Jakku prostitute.
anything that involved a memory-wipe is just lazy writing
>>66967582
That picture is purdy.
I agree that she doesn't "need" to be anyone, but at this point I think it will be narratively unsatisfying if she isn't. Unless she is extremely instrumental in Ben's story, which she may well be, so yeah...
My favourite theory before this was just that she's the daughter of Luke and Felicity Jones's character from Rogue One, but if she's Luke's daughter then her being stranded on Jakku while he's out being a nomad sucks. Plus, with all the recent "my character's sexuality is open to interpretation" talk from Hamill, I don't think she's his daughter anymore because that would backfire on him like crazy for making those statements.
I thought she was Han and Leia's daughter while watching the movie, but I can't see that happening without it being really clumsy.

...you thought wrong? I think it was easily one of the best things to come out of the prequels. That said, having a major plot point originate with something that happened in the prequels may rule out the theory, but it could always be something similar.

My theory is that she is a literal Mary Sue created by a Jew hack and you're a fucking cuck for not only enjoying the worst movie of the year, but also writing retarded fanfiction about it.

Why?

My theory is that you're a sad, strange little man, and you have my pity.

Back to reddt, friend!
the last Star Wars that was good was 5. It has been a long slow gradual decline of endless shit and any magic the universe once had it almost entirely gone.
The fact that underage, uneducated tasteless boobs like yourself are actually approving of this shit is insulting.
I'm not saying this as some nostalgia faggot. 09 Star Trek was enjoyable and a very acceptable movie. Into darkness was passable.
TFA was not in anyway watchable and I will never willingly watch it again in my entire life.

The trouble with starwars movies is that they have this massive universe of diverse interesting stuff and they follow the main characters rigidly, to the point that you almost forget this is happening in a galaxy far away.

>if she's Luke's daughter then her being stranded on Jakku while he's out being a nomad sucks
I can think of a lot of scenarios where Luke might not have known he had a daughter. We don't know what happened to Felicity Jones' character but she's clearly not in the picture anymore.
>>66968207
That's true, Vader didn't know about Leia...
>>66968133
What the fuck... who the fuck is that?
She's Jaina Solo from the Jedi Academy books; a greasemonkey who's good with tech. Kylo Ren is Jacen Solo, a troubled teen seduced by the dark side. They're brother and sister.
It's like poetry.Which means we'll get Tenel-Ka at some point... HOLD ONTO YOUR DICKS
>>66967495
>like Plagueis did with Anakin
what
>>66968795
They aren't brother and sister. There's no way they could have avoided addressing it in TFA if she were Han and Leia's daughter.
>>66968196
Well with a cinematic universe coming into effect mcu style, they have the opportunity to expand on everything out side of the main trilogies, and can make them take place in any time period.
