What does /tv/ think of this based movie?
I didn't see it.
I don't think about it.

should have got an oscar. I mean it was a great performance. I could barely even tell he is a retard in real life.

I can honestly say I will never have the urge to watch this movie.
Shyamalan'smasterpiecedesu senpai
I actually felt sad when that bird sacrificed itself to protect him. I don't remember anything else about this movie.
>>66957688
a chunk of granite would make a better actor
The rape scene was a little over the top. Most of the people walked out of the theater by that point. All in all I wouldn't say it's worth the effort.
His comments about murdering his "filthy nigger brethren" in real life turned me off from seeing his movies desu
>>66959269
The rape scene was actually the climax in my theatre. Most people ran out and came back with others
>>66957688
For those of you who have seen the movie, does he ever change his facial expression from the default Jaden "look worried about something in the distance" expression?
>>66959269
>>66959432
Why does everyone pretend necrophilia is rape? You don't own all the matter from your body for all eternity after you die and get to dictate who sticks their penis in it.
>>66958093
Are you talking about Signs?
>>66959507
nope. the whole fucking movie.
>>66957688
It made me think about what I was doing with my life
>>66957688
The movie was watchable, but shitty. The main message of the movie was underrated though. Fear is the great manipulator, and bane of humanity.Trump
>>66957688
>"Everything on this planet has evolved to kill humans."
Why?
>>66957688
Why does he wear the mask?
>>66957688
I'd hard up for some modern sci-fi but I don't know if I can bring myself to watch this.
>>66957688
I went out and bought it the other week without seeing it.
I cried in many of the scenes with Jaden and his father as they talked about their sister/daughter dying.
It wasn't as bad as people said. The visual effects when his costume changed was pretty awesome.
its better than interstellar
and the martian by a million light years

FUCK WRONG IMAGE I WAS MEANT TO POST IN ANOTHER THREAD

Shut up, it's deep
why does that nigger kid always make that face with his eyebrows
>>66963003
That's the only expression he can make
>>66962510
because hes a spoiled socialite living in the height of romes decadence
mommy and daddy can literally buy him anything he wants, and probably do
and mommys crazy and has probably pushed some messed up ideas on him since birth
poor kid never got a chance, and now thinks hes the second coming of aristotle. do you think he knows hes a joke to most of the world?
I didn't watch it because Jaden Smith is a hack.
I haven't watched it but I think it's shit

Will probably thinks back to the "how come he don't want me" line and feels sympathy for the father

Would explain why he always looks so fucking sad
Underrated, even by Shyamalan enthusiasts. I've read comparisons to Malick and Herzog, which I think are absolutely on point, and I'd also favorably compare this to George Lucas's Star Wars prequels (this too is an intersection of painterly digital form and archetypal mythmaking). Extratextual references can only go so far, though; this is another iteration of Shyamalan's career-long fixations, played out against a blockbuster backdrop. The way Shyamalan approaches exteriors (both manipulated and untouched) is beautiful and expressive, for sure, but some of my favorite visual moments are Will Smith's cockpit scenes: omniscient angling, chiaroscuro lighting, an intimate performance modulated by the narrative's space. Really gorgeous stuff. I'm surprised this doesn't get more attention.

bitch pls. outside of the echobox that forms you retards' entire universe hardly anybody even knows who this pissy child is

'glorified advertisement for Jaden Smith's non-existent talent for acting' by Will Smith, the movie
>>66957688
It was the last time Jaden appeared as a male.
>>66958093
>implying Shyamalan actually directed After Earth
Will Smith told him to sit down after the first day and Shyamalan spent the rest of the shoot mumbling "that's not how you say earth" over and over from his chair.
it has black ppl in it
I liked it for the speculative biology aspects
>>66965539
That book was fucking silly
Was pretty good
>>66957688
I'm confused. When did based change from meaning good, to meaning shitty?
I just can't keep up with the hip hop trends.
