We literally have nothing to judge on with Tom Holland other than the fact that he's going to look like an actual teenager, unlike Tobey. And hopefully, he can fucking act unlike Garfield.
Costume wise, ASM2 was the best, Tobey was the worst.

ASM has super strong, resilient and agile Spidey, the original trilogy just had him swinging around in wide tracking shots until some plot device disabled the villain, also all in CGI. Which isn't to say the original trilogy isn't great, or that ASM doesn't suck massive horse dicks.

Garfield spidey was actually funny, and a smartass like he's supposed to be. You actually see him being smart and inventing shit, it's not just "he's a genius cause we say he is a genius. Look he has glasses it must be true!" like fucking Tobey.
Sure he was a bit of a hipster but in literally every other way he was better. Tobey Maguire is literally the most irritating piece of shit spidey ever. Hopefully new guy won't be as shit as I think he will be.

>Spider-Man 1-3 costumes
They were all pretty good. The webbing on them was a little bad (too shiny) and I always felt Spider-Man should be skinnier than he was there. It also lacked the iconic blue. The spider icon was okay.
>ASM1 costume
Easily the worst costume. The eyes were fucked up (they'd be yellow in some shots), the spider icon was trash, the gloves were weird, and it was too scaled. They got the webbing sort of right by not having it be all 3D (if that makes sense) but then fucked it up by making it too thin and unnoticeable.

Easily better than ASM1's costume. They fixed the eyes and the gloves. The webbing wasn't quite right, a little too grey and bumpy (it shouldn't be a layer on top of the costume, but rather a part of the costume), and the spider icon wasn't great, but definitely a huge improvement.
>CW Costume
Classic callback to the days of Steve Ditko and easily the best Spider-Man costume we've gotten yet. The icon isn't the best, but it's leagues better than it's been in other Spider-Men films. The eyes are the best feature: Spider-Man having expression in his eyes is a big part of his character (and hopefully they'll keep his mask on). They've also gotten down the webbing just right. They've brought back the back spider, which is a huge plus. The webslingers on the outside of the suit are also amazing. The only real flaw here are the black straps, but it's a minor one.
