Watching things on Netflix is like a shot in the dark if you haven't seen it before, I know people who only watch the same few movies and shows over and over and pay every month.
Advertising is a good thing.
Movies are way better on cable. I like having only a handful of stuff to choose from, it encourages me to try new stuff.
Streaming is great for TV shows, but horrible for watching random movies after work or on weekends.

You can get monitors up to 52" now and connect to them via bluetooth and wifi. You can surf the net, play video games, watch movies, etc all on the couch. You don't even need a normal PC to do any of it.
