Has a woman ever directed a good movie before?
American Psycho
Sure.
The Matrix
>>66934248
Those last two definitions make no sense.
And yes, Zero Dark Thirty but the SJWs turned on her for it.
American Psycho, Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty come to mind.
>>66934248
Point Break
Matrix had two female directors so there's that
Waynes World
Lina Wertmuller
American Psycho
>>66934304
Yes, I came here to say this as well. The Matrix was directed by two brave and beautiful ladies.

First post, best post.
Sofia Coppola- Lost in Translation
Good kinos: Claire Denis
Good films: Kathryn Bigelow
Good movies: Mira Nair
>all these plebs citing american psycho and kathryn bigelow
do you niggers watch anything else made by women or are these two memes the only ones you're familiar with?
>>66934287
They're descriptive definitions
Point Break and Wayne's World, that's it.
>>66934381
god forbid they answer the question
>>66934381
I don't knowingly watch anything else made by women and didn't know American Psycho was directed by a woman. Why are you asking like this is a problem?
Catherine Breillat
>this hasn't been posted yet
I'm disappointed /tv/.

Everyone seems to love Lynne Ramsay's We Need To Talk About Kevin, so if you love it too then there it is.
I didn't like it that much though.
>>66936040
This t b h, women are often getting flak for liking more emotional and subtle movies then man who stereotypically like capeshit and explosions
>>66936185
>thinking not liking explosions is a plus
What good is all your depth if you can't enjoy simple things in life.
>>66934285
underrated post
>>66936299
have you ever actually enjoyed an explosion in a movie? The fuck is so great about that shit honestly?
>just turn your brain off!
this is a /v/ermin free board anon.
Action is fun, but an explosion is usually just ok to watch, nothing thrilling about it
>>66936299
I'm not saying if it's good or not, but not liking explosions is very much patrician.
lina wertmueller made some good ones
>>66936447
mmm and liliana cavani too

Why is Bela Tarr here?
>>66936365
First, why do you have to turn your brain off to enjoy an explosion. That makes no sense.
Second, explosions are just apart of a movie and story telling. Sure you can say Michael Bay overused explosions in Transformers but if a giant robot shot another giant robot with a high tec gun would an explosion really be unbelievable in the story.
>>66936366
why?
>>66936628
Maybe he thinks Bella Tarr is a girl
lel
>>66936653
>why?
It's too visceral and instantly gratifying instead of being cerebral.

>stereotypically
Yeah but stereotypically women like absolute trash too.
>>66937714
Sure, but they like romantic trash and trash dramas, and men like action trash and sci fi trash. Romantic trash and trash dramas are simply more patrician, I'm afraid.
>>66937910
Not true at all
This is kino directed and written by a woman, plebs not welcome.
