There's no hype for this battle aside from what we saw in Dark Knight Returns (which would have been a better route for them to pursue, but an aging Batman is a bad way to reboot the franchise). The animated version is no doubt better than BvS.
So we have an unestablished Batman and a weakly established Superman, part of a thinly veiled conflict to set up Justice League (DC's attempt to capitalize on the success of Avengers before Infinity War). The trailers already prove they're just gonna set aside their differences to team up with cameos (Wonder Woman and likely Aqua Man).
This "hype" is built on the fact that the idea of two super heroes fighting is cool, even though these two have had no screen time to build conflict. We have to inflate this brooding Batman who was in the background of the previous film and ignore the Nolan trilogy. This movie will be a shit stepping to Justice League which will be another shit movie.

Yeah that movie didn't feel right. I'm not sure what it was, maybe after Winter Soldier I was expecting something more serious and didn't get that. I think for me that might be it to a point. I like the Dark and serious, sometimes funny corn is welcomed too but not for an entire film. Avengers 2 just felt to me like they went into reverse. As things progress the story to me should get more serious.
