Sorry to break it to you, but that kid is a wreck and nothing he says can even be taken seriously. The fact that he was near borderline and the judge still considered him and his confession fine until a later point should tell you more about how legit all this is.
I also went through that "evidence" and none of it holds any ground compared to the things brought for his innocence.
