What does /tv/ genuinely think about Miami Vice?
I love it, I've seen every god damn episode. Someday I'm going to watch them all over again.
Also, here's Bruce Willis.
I like it. I saw a movie with Crockett in it recently, and it had some neo-80s soundtrack for some reason when it didn't fit.

never seen any of, only random segments of epiodes on television when i was a kid.
i think i might start watching it now, i like the setting of miami and seems to have fast cars and hot women mixed with crime, plus don johnson is cool. only five seasons so it's not too much.
Its really good but that shouldnt be surprising since it comes from Michael Mann.
Watched it with my parents every week, then ran around the house with a realistic water gun pretending to be Crockett. I was 4.

GOAT
Seasons 1 and 2 are god-tier. It was cinematic-quality. A lot of what was used in early Miami Vice is commonplace in 90's and 00's films.
posting this old Soldier of Fortune magazine article about the "guns of Miami Vice"
>It's the jaaaacket, Crockett!
literally goat
It broke my heart when Paulie from Rocky deflowered my Vicefu

I don't know but I liked the soundtrack. Also wasn't it set in 80s Texas?

It's based on a book written by the guy who wrote Savage Season which was the first Hap and Leonard book.

Didn't know that. I also didn't realize the movie wasn't taking place in modern time.
I liked the movie and I liked the soundtrack, I just don't think they meshed very well. I think it's the first unironic film I've seen that had neo-80's shit in it, and I wasn't watching it for that.
