Mike is obviously a figment of Saul's imagination in BCS. Saul feels partially responsible for Mike's death, so to cope, in his head Mike is still alive. Imaginary Mike being a badass is also symbolic of what Saul wants to be like around Chuck and Hamlin and people. Vince does it again!
I actually really like the slow pace, it makes moments and twists like Chuck's betrayal of Jimmy all the more intense.
