Why don't they make movies like this anymore?
Last time I checked movies like this, including the American Pie franchise was all straight-to-dvd. It has been a long time since I checked though.

What with the rise of social media and everyone knowing everyone, nowdays you don't get relatively normal, well adjusted kids with good parents who can't get laid or into the sexual game at all like the 4 stooges in this movie. You either get normal kids today, or you get Eliot Rodgers types.
So the target audience for these kind of movies don't exist anymore. Notice how most people who like American Pie are approaching 30. Todays teenagers don't have any real connection with the first one, unlike kids back in those days.

I think Not Another Teen Movie kind of destroyed the genre with how good it was. Nothing else can compare. It became the single best comedy of all time, best teen movie of all time, all while making fun of the genre.
