it's... everything? i'm probably going to sound like a RLM drone, but the problem with the sequels truly is everything.
there is no real hero in the three, i can't cheer for any of them. with the exception of qui gon jinn, none of the heroes are likable.
the stories are really boring, it's like george wrote the scripts immediately following politicial debates.
all of the films follow this sequence: exciting action scene -> boring dialogue -> exciting action scene -> boring dialogue. there's no time for any buildup in the story. if george could have, the movies would be 2 hours of CGI action scenes.
i'm probably only scratching the surface.
