i feel like im the only person who liked southpaw..
yea it was formulaic for a sports movie but it worked, and the way they showed him falling apart after losing mcadams, the death of mcadams, and the scenes with his daughter were all incredibly well done. whitaker was good too and while his character was kind of a cliche, i still thought it worked.
in fact most of the performances were good, with one or two notable exceptions. i really don't get the hate.
