It has an engine running a hydraulic system. Just like a forklift. It has levers and buttons to control it just like a forklift, though they are in different areas.
We also already have this shit, but they are noisy, bulky, and no one really likes them because of that. So, all the high tech is going into making them quite, long lasting, ultra lightweight, and untethered.
