Truly the Gremlins of our era.
Can't wait to force my future children to watch it.
Glad to see this meme's finally taken off.
>>66685074
Is it actually good? I was planning on torrenting it this weekend.
>that ending
Krampus was the real hero desu
>>66685074
>my future children
>>66685094
It's exactly as OP said. It's pretty much Gremlins for the new era.
>>66685094
I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.
It's quite enjoyable. I would be very glad for it to become some kind of christmas classic.
>>66685094
no. Had potential but failed. The puppets look really fricken cool though and wish the movie was centered more around them. But the movie just goes nowhere, ends abruptly, and never really had a direction. Plus way too many people in the cast.
>>66685096Did Krampus reboot their christmas because they learnt their lesson or are the trapped in "christmas ball" ?
>>66685156
>>66685163
>>66685177
Sounds like it's worth at least one watch.
>>66685249
It does. It's its own thing at least.
>>66685074
>showing the ending, when the Krampus get the familly trapped un a christmas ball, in the fucking poster
what te fuck
>>66685249
Yep, you should check it, especally if you like movies with a christmas atmosphere.
>>66685243
Seriously dude? The ending couldn't have been more straight forward if it wanted to and you still didn't get it?
Were you playing with your phone or shitposting here while watching it?
Fucking retard.
If you didn't like Krampus you're a FAGGOT.
>>66685296
are you retarded. How the hell would anyone pick that up unless they saw the movie already
>>66685348
At first I thought that he spared their lives but kept an eye on them in case they screw again on future christmas.
It's as possible as them trapped in the ball.
I liked it a lot. The ending made me roll my eyes at first because I thought they'd go for the cliché ending but then it turned out to be pretty cool.
Very similar to Gremlins in that it's not really scary or spooky but has a certain horror atmosphere that's delivered in a very entertaining, non-horror way.
>>66685296
I actually didn't even notice that until you pointed it out
10/10 poster would hang alongside man_running_along_blade.jpg
GOD-TIER DESIGN
>>66685703
Personally I would have preferred it if they never showed his face and just kept it black like the Nazgul in LotR. His face with the open hanging mouth looks too derpy and the CGI tongue was silly.
>>66685703
Would put on the christmas table
>>66685074
>Can't wait to force my future children to watch it.
Same.
>>66685736
I think it's supposed to be a Santa mask he wears.
I love brims take on this character, it's very creepy, like he would be tip toeing everywhere not making any sound
>>66685074
i saw it in theaters and it was awesome, the fucking puppet and animations was god tier.
>>66685736
They never show its face. Krampus is wearing somebody else's face as a mask.
the_more_you_know.jpg
>>66685736
You do realize Krampus was wearing a severed face over it's own, hence the frozen expression right?

Every year there are several injured people because the guys wearing the Krampus costume are pretty rough and sometimes downright violent, barely holding back. It's a tradition and if you're out at night on this particular day it can happen that they attack you. Wresting you to the ground or shoving or tossing you. Often they also whip you with a birch. When I was a kid we went out in groups, scared to our bones, and when we heard their bells we just ran. Sometimes we mocked them from afar and then we ran. Sometimes they got us and whipped our legs. We had marks for weeks. I loved it. Such a kick.

This is absolutely terrifying

>>66685894
Oh... I'm an idiot.
YOU GET THE ROD
>yfw shedies first
>>66686116
No problem, It took me a while to figure it out too.
>>66686065
Oh my god this sounds so fucking awesome. I want to experience this.
>>66686215Didn't he kill everyone in the surrounding neighborhood first?
>>66686215
I know that feel.
I was expecting her to come back at the very end...
>>66686280
Yeah but I was talking about the main cast.
Anyway, how long until hollywoood fucks up and they make a sequel?
I bet they will make it without the director and maybe the old lady from the first one.
These clowns like to fuck good things up for everybody.
>>66686409
Maybe they will will go full camp(us) and give us a funny spin on the first one... Some kind of Evil 2 or Gremlins 2.
>>66686409
Well, if done well it could become a neat horror franchise with a new Krampus movie every 2 years where we see a different family attacked by him.
Of course they'll make the mistake of expanding his mythos and revealing dumb stuff about him and mystical ways of defeating him instead of keeping him a totally unknown monstrosity that's beyond reason and nature. So in the end if there will be one or more sequels they'll fuck it up.
>>66686526
>they'll make the mistake of expanding his mythos and revealing dumb stuff about him and mystical ways of defeating him
That is literally what they would do. Exactly that I have no doubt.
>>66686065
this is cool as fucking hell
