As likely one of the few people who have seen this movie, its not some stupid anti-patriarch, pro-feminist movie. Its literally the Jane Austin novel with zombies. Everyone of upper class (man and woman) is a skilled fighter.
Its also a pretty good dark comedy.

It relies on a single gimmick: It's Pride and Prejudice...with zombies. Regrettably it didn't even get this right. This is a vaguely amusing idea which somehow got stretched out to an entire book, which somehow became a best seller, which inevitably means it had to be made into a film.

Seth Grahame-Smith wrote both of the books, and AL:VH was a fucking excellent book.
I personally always thought it would be a great miniseries, formed like a historical documentary. That's basically how the book is: A biography of Abe Lincoln's life, only now Vampires are involved and have been using blacks as a food source.
Even better: Make it almost indistinguishable from a regular documentary. "Historical recreations" mixed with interview footage, voiceovers, shit like that. Also, explore Henry as a character, he was cool.
