I liked it when I was a kid in the 80s but that was probably because I liked the shitty toys. I still have a He-Man action figure that would flip a grown man with it's rotating torso action.
It was a never a great show though. Even now I struggle to remember any memorable characters aside from Skeletor and Hordak (who is technically a She-Rah villain). It's best to let it die.

In both cases it was for toys since the series was intended only for that, the 80s one was hugely successful but its fame quickly decreased, I suppose if they intended to do something like that today they shoul focus on something like Skylanders, an action world of hack n slash with mild rpg elements and figures to collect for. I doubt kids above the age of 8 (the main demographic for He-Man) are that interested nowadays in toys. Maybe they are but the numbers are nowhere near to the numbers of 30 years ago.
