It's not very often that I see a film with such a free-spirited sense of anarchy that it's easy to overlook the conventional storyline elements. This film is not embarrassed to do anything. Performance-wise, Ryan Reynolds has never been better. If this is the only solid film I ever see him in, he made his contribution. The film's devil-may-care attitude and refusal to yield to a sappy conclusion makes it a lot more inspiring than one would likely expect. Few if any saw this one coming. Happily recommended. 7/10
