Do you follow them and witness their interactions? I doubt it, and chances are your kids are spergs or just quiet. No kid tells their parents "yeah I have no friends and other people bully me" when they want their dad to not worry about them.

Helicopter parents kids have 1000x worse then homeschooling kids when it comes to making friends at college and professionally in my experience. In fact, now there so many home schooled kids they form their own little circle of friends right as college starts.
And yes, there is some overlap between home schooled kids and helicopter parents, but it about the same ratio as public school kids.
Had a couple home school kids start going to my high school. Very nice, very smart, socially retarded, and more times than not very religious. One in particular was smart enough to move up two grades but wasn't allowed to read Harry Potter because of witchcraft.
