I’m guessing almost everyone here has used a torrent client at least once – and I’m sure a fair minority have received copyright claims and threats as a result. Well, I’m on my 5th warning. If I get another I think I’m fucked, so I need a VPN (I guess?).

For those who’ve had experience with them, what are some safe, reliable VPN resources out there? If anyone can explain the finer details of it I’d really appreciate it, but I know this board and its standing on spoon-feeding.

Sorry if I’m not supposed to ask this here. I don’t really know where else to go desu. I know you guys have some of the best information out there, so I felt like this was a good place to start. Still, if this doesn’t belong here, can I at least get pointed to a more appropriate forum?

i got 1 shortly after switching to a new isp, now only torrent if i have peerblock running and haven't gotten anything since

My ISP actually turned off my internet because I changed emails and didn't realize I was getting letters. I had to jump through some hoops to get it turned back on. Reinstalled this>>66599345 and have no problems.

Just google peerblock. It's opensource but they stopped updating the program for windows. You can still update IP lists though. I'm trying to figure out why Amazon Inc is so interested in what I'm browsing right now.

I've heard a lot about Froot - is that any good?

Almost makes it worth it taking 2 hours to download a movie

tfw normies bring their cliques to the interwebs in the form of private trackers. what's wrong with a model where anyone can make an account, and simply get banned if you don't seed? if you're in a legislation that doesn't allow sharing and downloading that's your fault and you should be using a vpn, not having to force the rest of us to conform to some sikrit club model just so the adults are less likely to catch you
>>
Go to /g/
Learn to configure your client. You should be using full stream encryption. Change the default port.
Use deluge or transmission. Do not use utorrent.
Torrentfreak regularly ranks VPNs. Use one of those.
Set your router to block unsolicited requests.

hahahaha what a cuck
5MB/s here in Uruguay. And it's a fucking 3rd world country. I guess data takes longer to be transmitted when it needs to dodge spiders.

Ok. It's cheaper and easier to just use a VPN.
>>
>>66601682
this is not just any bullying.
this is advanced bullying.
>>
>>66601736
1. Any tracker that requires you to pay for membership is shit.

2. You don't need a seedbox.
>>
>>66601736
>buying membership
Nowhere worthwhile (outside of m-team) allows you to purchase membership and i personally never have.
you don't have to spend money on a seedbox, i never had one until i got to AHD and wanted to race other users

150Mb/s for 7$ Monthly, Russia. Torrenting is like national sport here.
>>
>>66601808
wew, I guess I'll have to move there. Besides, the Russian culture is superior to the decaying west.
here my 5MB/s (40Mb/s) connection costs me like $23 a month.

>>
>>66602046
a thunder cunt? sounds enjoyable
might even write a sci fi story about some guy being castaway in the island of the thundercunted women
being the only man in the island, they give him the hammer of thor which after performing a ritual and joining their cunts enables the guy to strike whatever point in earth he wants. The condition is that he needs to fully satisfy 6 of them per night. The punishment, death. Other guys have been there and killed for failing to satisfy them. Not having viagra available makes things difficult sometimes.

You realise because of the Trans Pacific Trade agreement, there are no more safe vpns, right?

They all have to surrender user info.
>>
>>66602607

You know that only applies to 12 countries on the pacific rim right?

Why would you get a VPN from inside your own country, that defeats the entire point.
