When the monsters show up.
>>66596475
how the fuck can anyone like a movie that wasn't at all what it was advertised to be? they baited people with a Narnia type movie only to end up giving what was basically a My Girl remake.
if they had actually advertised properly so people went in with an idea of what to expect it might have been better but what did they do? they had people sitting there for 90 min wondering when the fucking fantasy shit would start. this movie fucked over so many kids Disney should have been charged for child molestation
>>66596624
And how's that a problem, you fucking soccer mom?
>"WHO'S GONNA PROTECT THE CHILDREN?"
>THE POOR LITTLE SHITS CAN'T HANDLE LE BIG THEMES
>LE FALSE ADVERTISING! GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK AND CURE THE TRAUMA YOU CAUSED

It isnt that you idiot. It is just the fact that you go in expecting something, and they give you something completely different and it throws you off.
I remember people being miffed about Seven Psychopaths because it was entirely mismarketed, and they went in expecting a quirky comedy with the two girls as main characters and instead they got a dark meta-comedy and the two characters from the commercials were barely in it.
It ended up still being a good movie, but the people that want to see shit like "epic movie" are not the same people that want to see shit like In Bruges. Mis-marketing can doom a movie.

Holy fuck that's brutal, made me mad just watching it.
>>66596864
Sorry there, friendo. It's that I despise the type I thought you were and then went wild. Indeed, it can be quite a bummer to expect pizza and get spinach.
>>66596864
Yes exactly. I actually might have liked the movie if It wasn't for the misleading trailers. You can't bring people in prepared for one thing only to give them something completely different then wonder why they weren't into it.
>>66596624
>how the fuck can anyone like a movie that wasn't at all what it was advertised to be?
People who don't watch ads for movies.
>>66597268
Even the fucking posters hanging in the theater misrepresented the movie. Take a good look at the OP pic and tell
me what you'd go in expecting to see
>>66596846
Why is he so interested in watching it
KR makes it look like hes enjoying it
>>66597444
not that guy but i went in expecting to see the book I read back in gradeschool
>>66597444
A film?
Why is it bad if you get surprises?
>>66597561
No idea it was based on a book. Either way still doesn't excuse the false advertising
>>66597565
Surprises are fine but they advertised a completely different genre
>>66595628
This movie made me cry.
>>66597637
>>66597565
l thought it was gonna be something like the Chronicles of Narnia when l saw the posters/previews
boy was l wrong
You know if you've seen it.
>>66598281
Thaaaaat's a stretch. What happens happens, and it's kind of expected.
>>66596624
Great point senpai. I thought it was gonna be some fantasy movie too.
