It's just as bad as you would think it would be, but if you enjoy the Mortal Kombat, and Street Fighter movies, I don't see how you would dislike Dead or Alive. Hell, I'm halfway certain they just remade the Street Fighter movie, and changed the characters.

Dead or Alive was surprisingly awesome. The movie knew exactly what it was and plays to it to the max. It's a movie that's just plain fun, and Eric Roberts and Kevin Nash are both fantastic.
