/tv/ is full of idiots who can't into cinema. I gave up a long time ago and only post frogs and feet these days. It's not worth it to deal with the shitposters when trying to talk about real cinema. /tv/ is too dumb to tell the difference between shit and art so they call you pretentious if you express an interest in movies they consider to be boring.

Let's talk about it. The theme and purpose of the movie continues to be my favorite subject for the cinematic medium. There aren't many mainstream films anymore that attempt to address our cosmic purpose and life and death.
My favorite moment is when death finally confesses that he himself has no idea whether or not god exists or why he must perform his duties. Very bleak and honest, another thing modern films seldom do.
The Danse Macabre imagery at the ending was wonderfully surreal.
