When I realized it's a soap opera with zombies. AMC won't ever let their cashcow die.
I marathoned the entire series this past week.
They honestly should have arrived at Alexandria and battled the wolves and Negans saviors by the fourth season at the latest.
But they sold lots of action figures, shirts and key chains in that time so I guess I should be happy for all of those goys at AMC.
I keep watching it since there is nothing like it on tv. I am already invested too much in it.

This show could've told a solid, interesting story about life-after-zombies in about four or five seasons. It does not need this many.

I dropped it during the prison arc, when the mom dies during childbirth. I hated how that was all written and portrayed. Then I picked it back up after I realized that it was equally fun to make fun of it and just enjoy the silly ride.
I hope they never cancel it. I want there to be a new season ten years from now after they've cured zombiness and killed all the zombies and it's just about rebuilding and kids going back to school.

I wanted to stop after a few episodes of the first season but I stuck with it just to see if it could improve. I immediately gave up 2 episodes into season 2.
Since they're supposed to be introducing Negan I decided to see how the show is progressing and the acting, pacing and dialogues have gotten so much worse. It's like amateur production.
