I seriously have to ask if this is the status quo for the Oscars? I've never in my life watched them before yet it just seems to boil down to "push your political agenda in the 30 second speech you have".
Is this a regular occurence where winning a film or bringing on 'rape victims', denouncing political candidates, or talking about global warming overshadows the film?
Is this normal in America? Why do you guys have so much white guilt.
