What did /tv/ think of Spectre. I watched it last night and thought it was really underwhelming.

Saw this in theaters i had the same feeling. I think the only scene that stood out from every other action movie was the helicopter scene in the beginning that was bad ass but it just felt like another action movie to the point where you didint even need to consider it as another bond movie.

i like it when mendes does mood - the opening set, the italian villa etc. and some of the actions scenes were cool too - but everything else i hate - the shoehorned love story, two underwhelming villains and everything drawn in between.

I honestly felt board through most of it, nothing felt at stake they tried to do a "clever " plot but gave up and just said "oh these people died in the previous films he caused the deaths no questions asked".

Really awesome opening scene with the Dia de Los Muertos.
The movie could've been much more but fell flat. I think the moment it went down for me was during the SPECTRE meeting. I expected a lot more to happen after Bond gets into the super evil organisation.
I knew this movie was in trouble when Q scanned that ring and all the recent Bond villains appear all linked to Oberhauser. It's beautifully directed but the script was just crap, it's like the writers were bored.
Watching it right now.
