Witcher has some of the better female characters in fantasy.
I'd say a good majority of the characters are female, three-dimensional, and strong. But not to prove the "don't need no man" point, many of them are very sexual or even submissive.
But they are actual, believable people, even if they are sorceresses.
Like Queen Calenthe, Shani, Yen, Philipa, Ciri, Fringilla, all really well written.
Especially considering these characters came from an old Polish man.
