I like the movie, but I rewatched it recently and I was really struck by how poor of an actor Nicholas Cage is. I mean, he's fine for the right personality, but Jared Leto as his brother had a much smaller part and practically blew him out of the water. Jared Leto cast as Yuri and Cage as the brother would've made a much less campy film.

The themes of this movie could have made for a really spooky movie about the history and origin of Halloween.
