>tfw no Fresh Planet
>tfw no Planet Earth 2
Fuck off retard, anyone but him.
Is this a new meme?
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
This is THE ONLY guy i respect from UK
>>64743131
Who cares about him? Everyone dies eventually and he has had a great life. Now that Bear Grylls is getting on he should take over doing the nature documentaries.
>>64743728
>Who cares about him?
The UK of course. We all celebrate his birthday and we have a David Attenborough day.
Can't imagine when he dies. We'll probably have a minutes silence for the loss of a great man.
>>64743969
Its not bait, that comment seriously reflects my opinion. Bear Grylls would be great at doing nature docos and Attenborough is way too old now.
>>64744048
Im from Lancashire and i can assure you that nobody here celebrates Attenboroughs birthday. He will get a write up in the Daily Mail and a tribute from the BBC but i seriously doubt anything more.
>>64744109
>Im from Lancashire
Sure. Whatever you prat. Everyone celebrates David Attenborough. I bet you think kettle licenses for winter aren't real.
>>64744200
I hate you canadian posters so fucking much.

What are some 2010+ good documentaries about earth and nature?
I watched Planet Earth and fucking loved it.
>>64746401
Pretty much anything Attenborough
so:
>Frozen Planet
>Africa
>The Hunt
>Life Story
etc.

>>64746480
Holy shit he's been busy.
Time to get comfy as fuck, thanks anons.
>>64743131
He looks pretty darn good for 89.
Looks more like he's in his 70s.
>>64746556
He's very passionate about what he does, that's why he has done so much and such good work
>>64746573
Imagine someone quoting him on his funeral, something about life and death, nature and shit.
>>64746556
>>64746583
Yup, he will keep working until he literally dies
>>64746689
>he's on set shooting some amazing landscape
>takes a short break under the shade, watching out over the land
>break taking longer than usual
>someone goes to fetch him
>"Hey David, we gotta get back to shooting."
>silence
>"D-David..?"
>the person walks up to him
>David sits there with eyes closed, smiling
>a small bug sitting in his open palm
>he's dead
>>64746876
It's how he deserves to go, painlessly, surrounded by what he loves.
>>64743131
So who will the BBC replace him with once he karks it?
A twenty something black man or a middle aged paki woman?
>>64746876
I didn't need these feels anon
>>64746401
Not Attenborough but I really enjoyed the recent BBC docs on Patagonia and Japan
>Attenborough disappearing below the waves for the reef thanks to modern science
>that excitement at seeing a green turtle attracted by the lights
>>64746876
>>64747405
And Sharks, forgot that one.
Herzog does the same and he's 73.
>go to USA
>turn on BBC America
>David Attenborough documentary is on
>they've replaced his dub with Oprah Winfrey
>>64747479
There's an insane difference between 73 and 89.
>>64746401
Planet Earth is 10 years old.
>>64746876

>>64749319
would probably start a world war desu
watching the more recent ones and he can barely even walk around. He needs to take a helicopter into the jungle.
BBC Nature group are testing out new presenters, but they are all trash. Attenborough's value is that he explains things like a professor. Their alternatives are always doing pointless shit to make it "engaging" for shit eaters.
>>64744109
You're a fucking retard.
do you think he will narrate his own death?
>>64749749
I laughed at this post for an inappropriate amount of time.
>>64749599
You say that, but it's really just the accent. I just watched some BBC doc about Japan, and they actually gave the name of the cleaner wrasse instead of just calling it "a striped fish" like in the recent Reef documentary. They even talked about how manta rays keep their feeding lobes wrapped up while swimming and stretch them out for cleaning.
You really don't get a lot of information, at least in the recent Attenborough stuff I've watched. I far prefer seeing unexpected behaviours like monkeys riding around on deer than the umpteenth "look at this polar bear/lion/tiger/elephant" garbage. The shots are fantastic, the content is woefully lacking, I've seen American nature shit with more information than Attenborough.
