The movie has its flaws, but for everything it does wrong it does 1000x right.
This piece of art is where Lucas was able for the first time to enact his full vision without any physical or technical restraints. Everything about it was a breath of fresh air without regressing but always perpetuating the stroy forward while adding dimension to all the charecters which none of the original trilogy seemed to do.
These charecters were layered and fleshed out, from Obi Wan becoming a detextive, to seeing Padmes home villa with protoform Darth Vader just chitchatting with her father teaching at the naboo university.
This movie had depth and a grandiose futuristic aesthetic with a lot of charming sensibility and metaness that most movie buffs fail to see over all the media and jokes stigmatizing the film itself.

Just done rewatching it. Not much to say aside that this movie is horrendous and possibly worse than TFA. The directing is awful, the writing is awful, the acting is awful, many parts are simply vidya, many shots are terrible green screen cancer.
