titles? I recognize top-right, but can't place it, I'm also pretty sure I've seen middle-left in these threads before.
>>64705154
news from home left me feeling very despondent, t.b.h, not sure why. simple yet powerful stuff.
>>64706027
Explain, please?
>>64705154
Same to you, friend. Cheers for best Powell/Pressburger and underappreciated de Sica. Also nice to see Kanal in here. What's bottom-middle?
And yeah, if you haven't seen My Little Loves, I couldn't recommend it warmly enough. It's fucking lovely.

Jury's still out on my sexuality, if I'm being honest. I've enjoyed both sexes--simultaneously on occasion--but I go back and forth.
>>64707100
Oh man I completely forgot about Ordet. Thanks for that
Also holy shit how great is Come and See?
>>64707664
9/9 best chart so far
>>64704999
Youre the first person Ive seen that prefers Sawdust and Tinsel.
Bergman is the hardest director to pin down a favorite of. Too many great ones all on the same level
>>64707590
Thanks.
>>64707853
Definitely. In a way it gets to represent a bunch of his films, but at the time it's the one I feel the most strongly about. On a different day, Persona, Smiles of a Summer Night, Through a Glass Darkly, To Joy or The Magician might have taken its place.
>>64708110
Also, Fanny & Alexander.
>>64707735
not him but a 10/10 for me, very immersive film.
watch it and find out yourself though don't read about it
>>64707590
yeah i have seen it but not for a very long time, extremely comfy
bottom middle is 'bigger than life' an incredibly underrated film by nic ray, one of my favorite performances by james mason as well
yeah its a shame de sica doesnt get as much recognition as other italian directors (on here anyway)
>>64707159
news from home is so great, it makes it even more personal also with the fact that you only hear the letters sent to her, really good stuff

do you not rank the virgin spring that highly?
always been one of my favorites but what the other anon said is very much true
>>64708779
>do you not rank the virgin spring that highly?
I don't think so. It was one of the first I watched, years ago. It hasn't stuck in my mind, really, but it is due for a revisit.
