In both the novel and both film adaptations Lounds is an ugly little rat-man who gets his lips bitten off and set on fire but the tv show changes it so all the shitty things happen to someone else and she gets to walk around like she's the cat's meow. Fuller also said something along the lines of that he changed the person in the wheelchair to Chilton rather than Freddie because he never wants to have a woman die graphically onscreen. Fucking prick. Having said that the scene turned out for the better since Chilton was based and likable, which made the scene genuinely suspenseful.
