Seriously, a service like Netflix is the price of one fish and chips dinner.

I think like $15. It's a pretty huge rip off.

If you like anime there is crunchy roll. Also amazon prime if you order online a lot.

Out of amazon, hulu, and netflix, hulu is the best. Netflix used to be great until they jewed out and split physical/digital services.

>>
>>64692609
lol? not even him but Netflix is garbage and if you actually care about the kinds of films and tv you watch, you'll run out of shit to watch on netflix in a month. Someone mentioned it earlier but streaming services will always be shit and the last option because not only are you already paying for your internet but you're paying to watch movies and it isn't even a full library of stuff. You may as well as be back on cable.

The real patrician choice is to just use Usenet

Just in the last couple of weeks watched:

A BBC tv series about a real life mole in the CIA

A documentary about Evander Holyfield and his quest to beat Mike Tyson

A Korean movie based on a real life Korean naval admiral that fought off half of the japanese navy with just a few ships.

A Korean movie about a hitman gone rogue after he kills his targets daughter that is one of the best pure action movies in years.

How many of these have you seen or even heard of?

Don't google it. Just say it now.
>>
>>64692243

I have 50Mbps internet. I can download 10GB+ Blu-ray rips in literally 15 minutes. I can set up a torrent, go make some food, and it'll be done downloading when I get back. Exactly as convenient as Netflix but with less cost, AND I have that movie saved now if I like it enough to keep it around for future viewing, no internet required.

Shozin Fukui at his finest. 964 is on Hulu, actually suprised about that one. The point is, there is no point in paying for anything, unless you have already watched it and actually want to buy it.

In short, you're an idiot.

The pirates are the true plebs because nothing is curated.

The only things they watch are the things that get heavily advertised and promoted. ...basically mass market pleb tier shit.

Kek, The admiral was shit. Everyone here saw it and shitpost about it on release, how new are you?
>>
>>64693042
do you really think netflix, hulu, or amazon are 'curated'
they do not pay out of the ass for movies to get more people to subscribe anymore, their movie selection is very very abysmal, across the board for each of these. Their only real draw anymore is their original programming, which can be pirated as well.
Do you think people are unable to have their own individual taste in film and television and seek out more media similar to their interests or do you think everyone is a sheep like you?
>>
>>64692006
12usd. It's worth it if Hulu has what you want. Netflix and Hulu compliment each other well.

You are a pleb pirate. Accept it. Own it.

You don't have Netflix so you obviously have no clue what you are talking about.

If you did at one time have Netflix and are one of those "HURR there isn't anything worth watching on Netflix" then you are the plebbiest of plebs.

>>

>>

Pretty much this. It's not even a secret that they use movies as a way to shift billions of dollars. Why would anyone willingly contribute to this system?
>>
>>64692178
I love stream services too anon. The elitists here are too prissy to discuss them though.

My buddy has Netlfix and shares with me while I pay for Hulu.

I also have Prime and HBO Now but i don't want to share my HBO with him so I never told him about it
>>
>>64691917
Why even bother with YouTube Red?

The rest are pretty nice though.

Seinfeld on Hulu is awesome.
>>
>>64693570

Agreed. YouTube Red is not needed.

Stick with the big three.

Have you heard that you can sub to Starz and Showtime through Amazon now without having to pay through a cable company?
It adds all of Starz and Showtime's respective catalogs to your Amazon Video apps.
I haven't tried it personally but its cool that all these premium channels are slowly leaving cable companies.
Fuck cables companies and their ripoff prices and shitty service.
>>
>>64693828
You should watch Kingsman: The Secret Service

It's really fun and over the top. The action is also really frantic and insane.

>>
>>64693864

I can't wait until cable companies fade away and become replaced by internet companies. It will be glorious. There's a massive conflict of interest in having a cable company control internet services, and I think ISPs will be way less shitty in a world where literally the ONLY thing they are is ISPs.
>>
>>64693902
I pirate from time to time but these services are about paying for the convenience of the content, rather than the content itself.
>>
>>64693863
You're just plain dumb for paying for something that you can get for free.
>>
>>64693864

I've had Showtime through Hulu Plus for a few months now.

Gotta have my Homeland.
>>
>>64693920
Yeah and the competition for streaming services is pretty high, so it's making some quality content.

Netflix has Making a Murder, Daredevil, House of Cards, Beasts of No Nation

Prime has The Man in the High Castle (and other things that I haven't had time to start sadly)

Hulu bought the rights to Seinfeld and streams Nathan For You and Workaholics and South Park so I don't have to pay for Comedy Central.

and HBO is well.. HBO.
>>
>>64693953
They add up to about like $30 or so dollars a month and that's like less than a tank of gas you might have to pay for weekly. It's pretty fucking cheap considering I have no social life and all I do is watch TV and film.
>>
>>64693888
Been meaning to watch it.

>>64693920
The problem is that most of ISPs started as TV or Phone services.

In the United States you're stuck with the monopoly of Comcast or AT&T, unless you live rural and have to deal with shitty satellite net or are lucky to have Fiber Faggots feeding you internet like Google.

AT&T and Comcast already increased their prices this year. The will continue to do so and blame it on improving technology and broadcaster fees, even though they rake in billions every year.

We'll eventually just be paying ISPs the same terrible prices we are paying the TV companies because there is no control over these people.
>>
>>64693920
>>64694063

The ONLY reason to keep live tv is if you watch sports.

Luckily my local cable provider provides all local channels for free as long as my internet coax is live.

Sling TV is a bit pricy but it keeps me watching NBA games during the playoffs. Not sure how good it is with other sports though.
>>
>>64693888

Didn't really care for it but a lot of people liked it. It's kind of similar to UNCLE but more violent, cheesy and over the top.

I didn't really care for either of them but I would say that Kingsman is less boring than UNCLE but UNCLE is a more quality film.
>>
>>64694208
Fair enough lad. Different strokes and all that.

They did add Max Mad Fury Road recently I think. If you're into that.
>>
>>64694189

Checked out the free trial for Sling and didn't like the picture quality so I cancelled it.

If they are going to be charging that much their streaming better be top notch.

If you like kick ass Korean hitman operator movies check out No Tears for the Dead on Netflix.

Some of the best action scenes I've seen in a while. The first half is slow-ish but the second half is non fucking stop.
