Does this show have a continuing season-spanning plot in later seasons?
I've watched the first season and most episodes just seem like "A day in the life of a gangster" with not much connection episode to episode.
yeah
every season has a "bad guy" character, or a character that is causing trouble.
Yes.
it's overrated, but definitely very important for the evolution of television.

you just gotta relax faM
If you watch this show for narrative follow-up, tight plotting and catharsis, then you literally don't understand it.
I wish I could go back and watch the Sopranos again for the first time.
The plot of the entire show is that death is better than life. Anyone remember the casino episode? I can do an analysis of the entire episode with pictures if anyone doesn't grasp this.

do it. and the show is not about life <<< death, but about ''if 5 minutes before your birth, you can choose to be born or not, then it is logical to refuse to be born'' which even Nietzsche and the greeks acknowledge. this means that there is no reason to live. but once you live, there is not reason to die either.
I thought the show was about the North Jersey mafia.
