I was an intern for season 1 of the Awesome Show in 2007, and I can tell you firsthand that Tim is a HUGE FUCKIN ASSHOLE in real life, he's always angry or pissed off about something. Eric on the other hand was always super nice to everybody and made an effort to get to know us.
That being said, Tim is funnier.
