What went wrong?

Coppola'd already lost it by that point. Though it's not as bad as people claim.

Sofia

nothing, its just misunderstood

Robert Duvall wanted to be paid as much as Pacino and Keaton. What a dick.
>>
>>64662862
FFC needed money so he didn't really care about making something great.
Duvall walked away because he wasn't getting paid as much as Pacino
The incest subplot with Andy Garcia and Sofia Coppola was ill-advised
Thirty minute chunk near the end where fuck-all happens and we watch Michael and Kay traverse around Italy.
Not enough corrupt Vatican politics which were pretty interesting.
Sofia's amateur performance in such an important role.
MUH LUCKY COAT

he should have been paid as much as Keaton. she had maybe 20 lines of dialogue.

What? It was a good move, and a change of pace from the heavy mobster shit that was getting monotonous.

Duvall talked about it at length with Howard Stern a few years ago.

It didn't need to exist. Michael's story was over at the end of Part II.

Continuing past this moment cheapens the ending and the entire impact of the first two movies.

who is the Jar Jar of the Godfather saga? Vincent?
>>
>>64662862
Better question is what went wrong with Pacino's face and hair? After a certain point in the 80s he started looking like shit. Did he actually snort all that cocaine in Scarface

*tips leopard print fedora*
>>
Absolutely nothing, it's objectively the best movie in the series
>>
It's directed by a director who accidentally made a couple of good films.
